Ghost of the Past

The small feline that had taken to Zana only seemed to be in a state of rest as the two older creatures spoke, but soon enough he danced back to life as a lone leaf pattered across his paws. His fluffy tail darted straight up as his small frame skittered across the ground after the leaf. She couldn't help but chuckle softly as she watched the small soul with fondness. He was too young to remember just how he came to be with her and she preferred not to ever have to bring it to light, for now that she knew that the felines were not just another beast in the lands but they were capable of conversation and thoughts of their own, it made her realize she could never hunt the creatures again. She wondered for a second what her life would be like if all the creatures of the lands began to speak but cast the idea aside for there were beasts far to tasty to give up for the process of thought.

She let her eyes fall back to the feline before her as he spoke. A frown graced her lips again as she felt her ebony lips rise over to reveal her fangs in a flash as she barked. "I don't believe anyone has the best of relationships with that woman unless she's got them twisted around her finger.." She gazed down at the small beast a moment before she felt the need to ask. "Just what came between the two of you?" It was probably something foolish and unexplainable, for most things seemed to be when it came to the warrior princess, but Zana wished to hear it from the feline, not from the tainted lips of the beast who roamed free in the clan.
