YAY, Neela's avatar is no longer breaking the laws of time. The hat she is wearing is the one depicted in that avatar. Fore dated to the 26th, takes palce at sunset.

Neela strode along the snow dusted street, a tune on her lips and a crowbar spinning from her fingers. The collie's scavenging had gone well and the black duffel bag on her back was swinging lightly, Neela having dropped most of her finds off at her safehouse before heading out on this trip.

The exception to this was her current loot, and apparel for that matter. Neela had come across a mostly collapsed but interesting looking human building and some signs pointing to a storeroom through a collapsed doorway. Considering that Neela was fast learning that storerooms were the best place to scavenge, often containing bulk amounts of items as preserved as anything was from human times, she had come back to the building and a little work with a sledgehammer and a weak wall had gained her entry into the storeroom.

Unfortunately the storeroom was mostly clothes, the actual roof having collapsed over the more interesting finds. While Neela generally had little need for clothes the crimson and gold hat had caught her eye as she was strolling around, the gold snowflake pattern creating a pretty effect against the red wool and had bit her perfectly after a bit of work with a knife to make holes for her ears. A bit of searching around had found several matching hats and some scarves with the same pattern which Neela had also taken, the scarf draped loosely over her shoulders and several spares for each stuffed inside her bag.

Pleased with her find Neela was now wandering the streets casually. Deciding to explore some new territory the collie had ventured forth from the built up area she had been haunting the past several days into the more suburban areas to the west of the main hub. While there wasn't much to salvage here Neela was pleased enough with her earlier finds to just enjoy the interesting scenery. It also helped that she had found an intact bottle of whiskey earlier, which swung from her occupied hand, a small amount having been drunk by the collie, though not enough to have an adverse effect on her.

And so that was how Neela spent her afternoon. Walking along the deserted and overgrown streets, occasionally using her crowbar to break into an intact looking house and see what was inside, depositing any trinkets or ornaments that grabbed her attention into her bag. This meandering path had lead her father and father out into the suburbs until she was nearly at the city limits. By this time the sub was just starting to disappear over the horizon and the snow around her was glowing a beautiful orange. Deciding to take a break in her exploring Neela climbed up onto a low roof nearby and sat with her legs dangling over the edge, her whistling louder than ever now that she was relaxing.

Still, part of her wished that Halifax wasn't so… empty. It was lonely spending the entire day by herself without even Grynn to keep her company, the bird had continued her reclusive streak by not even coming along on this trip full stop. Swinging her legs slightly Neela stopped her whistling for a moment to take a sip of whiskey and looked out over the streets, looking if anybody else was about. Some conversation would be nice right about now, and a bottle of whiskey was always best when shared.
