Caprica got down from her horse, and fiddled with things on its strange hide, making the two puppies look at each other curiously before returning their gazes to her. They didn't know you could pull on flaps of skin like that; it was a rather surreal experience, to be certain. Boothe was slowly leaning toward Sophie, his jaws opening but his eyes never leaving Caprica in case she turned to look at him, to test out the strange pully thing on his sister's ear; he'd tried before, but he hadn't been trying to get her head to do anything, except maybe follow him.
His teeth had barely closed in around the tip of her floppy lobe before Caprica was kneeling on front of them, however, and he snapped away from his sibling, disgruntled. Sophie only snorted at him and then blinked up at the dark woman, tilting her head curiously in an effort to understand what she was trying to say. She asked about Faffer, but Sophie didn't think that was who she meant; she wanted to know who was taking care of them, didn't she? Sophie hesitated on answering, and Boothe, for once having the insight to sense that Sophie had a thought, remained silent, shifting uncomfortably.
How were they to explain that their father had abandoned them, but their brother was taking care of them now? Sophie bit her tongue, and then opened her mouth, her gaze dropping to the floor in her uncertainty. "Um, Faffer not lookin' for us." She piped up carefully, and then shared a look with Boothe before continuing, "Broofer might be, though. Him take care of us." She added, and lifted her gaze carefully, uncertain what Caprica would think of this.
