He grunted as the older, though relatively small, coyote pounced him for a cuddle -- though it was irksome to him, he reveled in the closeness he felt to the playmate of his youth as she wrapped her arms around him and nuzzled at his scruff. He smelled like the Bay and the world beyond it, like Nature and Fire and Air all wrapped up in one, with the hint of lingering sorrow and his mother atop his fur. There was no hiding that this boy was a de le Poer, a Lykoi, with his red eyes and red snout and the prominent Lykoi star that hung atop a dark, crucifix patch on his face. A child of the once-lovely Talitha, who had gone in search of Gabriel and a home outside of Inferni, where all she had become was a liability for her brother who was capable of so much. He could remember her babbling about such things as she fed him and his sister, babbling apologies to a Caillen, to a Hybrid, to Ezekiel. Apologies to God.

Thinking about his mother caused the young male to stiffen in irritation -- she wasn't there anymore, why keep thinking about her? -- and he pulled himself away quickly enough, pausing to give the older girl a rub to her muzzle with his own. "Been a long time, huh? You can already change," he stated; he was, perhaps, a bit jealous as he gazed at her bipedal body, envious that he was incapable of doing the same. It would be soon enough, he knew that much as his mother had commented on how useful her children would be in the upcoming weeks, before she decided that he would return to the clan. He hoped it would be in the next few days, when he would try eagerly to have two legs and two arms and a plethora of movement that he was incapable of on four paws, but he was also so certain that when he next attempted his change, he would simply remain as he was. A displeased grunt escaped him.
