I powerplayed too, but we already discussed the coming back to the mansion part.

It had been a leisurely day, relaxing and having as little to do as possible. He had made sure that Omni was happy, especially by letting her keep the large eagle. Apparently the big bird's name was Ky'allu, something he never heard much of before. Omni wanted and insisted on taking him with her to hunt, to teach him a few tricks. At first the Lykoi was wary, the days were not growing warmer and unknown hazards beneath the snow were dangerous. So he went, to protect the one woman he had truly love and wished to linger around with. He had bundled the both of them up, concerned for their health and ways to prevent sickness. The cold of the air was enough to take and freeze the breath of an innocent being. Ky'allu seemed like a heavy bird, with huge sharp talons. Yet the Lykoi
didn't quite see why she let it sit atop her shoulders. There was no ill feelings for the aerodynamic creature, just slight distrust over the personality of it. He felt Omni's hand grip his own, immediately he felt warm and fuzzy inside, and was instinctively replying "I love you too." The large eagle was complaining about their love, he simply shook his head while Omni laughed, touching the long black and white feathers of the uncommon avian.

They all stopped, he was taught the basics of now wielding, holding the weapon and having the right stature and pose to make a clear shot. For a while they practiced, Omni gently criticizing his work, and Jacinto trying harder to succeed. After his mate was happy with his progress, it wasn't too long before they had spotted some prey. Omni crept out to get closer, to get a clear and fatal shot. Ky'allu was making a racket in the skies, for what reason Jacinto didn't know. Realization hit the hybrid, at the wrong time though. His mate was sucked under the ice from a rapid current, bounding as fast as he possibly could, Jacinto jumped into the water. The current was difficult to fight through, to move his freezing legs and hope that she was still alive. He was strong enough to clear the current and leap from the subzero waters, only to sprint downstream on two legs. She was caught in an ice drift, her face seemed to be semi under the water. Panic flooded the Lykoi, and he bludgeoned with a rock at the ice to reach her. Ky'allu seemed to soar above, terrified of what was happening. Soon he was able to pull her sodden body from the water, unconscious. He pulled her up onto the thickened ice on the shore, pumping the water from her chest. Getting misty eyes from the sight he now saw. She seemed so broken, but she had a heartbeat still. She no longer coughed but breathed gently as he listened against her chest. "No...Wake up. Please! Wake up!" He told himself that she would, that she would be laughing about this later. The tall lanky hybrid pulled her up from where she lay, and carry her petite body back towards the Mansion. His pace quicker than usual.

Once they reached their room, he set her down in the bed, rapidly attempting to start up the fireplace. "You're gonna fight Omni. You're gonna wake up and be fine. Please." The room was slowly warming, blankets and furs were lain over her body. Tea was boiling on the kettle. The bird had flown in through one of the only opened windows, silent as he watched as Jacinto tried to keep his mate warm. Jacinto turned and nodded a grateful nod before working on Omni's wellbeing once again.
