Terra noted his droop, and pretended not to notice. He wasn't pack, after all. If he truly missed it he would be returning to where he belonged, not moving on. Still, he wasn't the first member to leave, though he was the first Terra had met that had returned to visit. She still hadn't heard anything from Shandom since he told her he was heading north. He was older, and while Terra knew he wasn't weak she still worried deeply about him surviving. Granted, he had a much higher chance than someone like her, but that didn't stop her from wanting to go north to find him. It was only the coldness of the new pack she'd come across that had stopped her search.
Playfully Terra nudged him before turning and walking to the borders. I don't know your old haunts, but it can't be hard to guess. Things don't change much around here. The hotel, the big open field where she performed tricks, the coast where the water roared. She stepped over the borders, pausing for him to follow before moving into her personal realm of shadows. Hidden paths that she'd built, wearing away at the ground with her feet as she chose ways to move without being seen. Terra's eyes flickered in the darkness. In full leaf she'd be completely covered, but even with winter it worked well, only flickers of red to show where she was.
