Despite his own large size, Max favored hunting smaller animals like hares. His pelt allowed him to catch them easily during the winter months, and they made for fun chases. Ezekiel had shown him the effectiveness of using the bow to fell birds, but he favored his lupus form for hunting. A group hunt was indicative of this, and something he hoped to see more of—perhaps the pack’s hunting couple would seek to organize something in the spring. The tall coydog wagged his tail at the suggestion of driving them to the lake, thinking it might make things easier.

He looked around at the three others, noting that Myrika was the only one comparable in size to him. If the reindeer got stuck in the water it would likely take all four of them to drag it out. Still, they were a good sized group and would be able to separate one or two animals from the herd. Two would feed them more than well enough with extra to spare. “I’m ready when you guys are,” he chimed in, looking to Myrika expectantly.
