Dhiate raised his chin up a bit as she circled. Her eyes seemed approving, and the smile was reassuring. With a sigh of relief, he gave his own, shy smile. He'd never been told he looked good before. At least, not in a good way. He'd been taunted about his figure, but she seemed to like it, perhaps even enjoy making him looking better. He dipped his head in gratitude, He saw the new pieces, but they looked like nothing she wore. He grasped one of the smaller golden bands and it slipped over his arm as if it were meant to be there. Dhiate slipped it off with ease and placed it with the others. He took the pieces and examined them. There were two of each size, and there were about sixteen bands. He took the largest pair, and slipped the largest pair onto his arms, one on each, as far up as they'd go. He did this, going from largest to small until there were no more. Eight on each arm. The largest were about halfway up his forearm and ended at his delicate wrist. They clinked and glimmered as he moved his arms to reach for the golden piece with the blue stone. He stroked the smooth surface. It was beautiful. He struggled to slip it over his head, and by wiggling around in different positions, he finally got it in place. It fit around his collar as if it were made for him. It glinted in the sunlight beautifully. He felt gentle tugging at his hair. It was strange, this pulling at his scalp. Long, straight, slanted hair fell over the entire right half of his face. and the shorter hair blew out of his braid. When she was finished, he took it in his hand marveling at its intricacy. He wanted to know how to do this in the future. He looked up excitedly. "Can you teach me?" The look in his eyes was like a young pup begging for a treat. Knowledge, he wanted it.
