A day with Dad

The spots of sunlight that was streaming through the windows had slowly creeped a couple of inches across the floor while they had sat in the living room getting Temo's little girl warmed back up. However he did not notice the movement, only the motes of dust that passed through the beams of light as they danced about on the air currents to the fire's music of snapping and crackling and popping.

Temo was surprised at Dalgina's answer "make pictures" to his query of what she wanted to do with her dad. He stared at the fire and scrunched his eyes a bit thinking about how to go about this. He understood the concept of pictures as he has seen them in the human's books and knew that some drew. However, he did not know of any drawing utensils or paper in the house for such a task.

Temo pondered for a bit longer as the flickering flames of the fire converted more of the wood to ash with an occasional snap or pop. With a querying look to his daughter, he asked, Ok. But how do you propose that we draw pictures and on what do we draw them? I am unaware of any paper in the house that we could use.
