Wrapped in his pristine veil of night and bloodied stars, the disgraced Salsolan watched the blooming scene with calm hues of fairytale sunsets. It was an honour to be permitted to accompany the King of Thorns. It was a sign that there was still hope to achieve forgiveness, though it was possible that the road to redemption was a fragment of a deluded wish. The blonde Lykoi didn’t care to analyze the mess he was currently standing in. Time pushed all forward in a merciless pace, and he could only drift along with the tides.

The meeting had begun, and hybrid ears, albeit wolfish, swivelled and listened in on the voices faking courtesy. In older times, teeth and claw would have settled it all, but many years had formed canines into something different than they were supposed to be. This area provided enough places to hide out of visual sight, and so he would do as instructed and wait for his King’s word before revealing himself and his position. Chance was that he wouldn’t be requested to step into sight at all. The pack they had temporarily lost a member to was soft and squishy, and he allowed himself to doubt there would be physical confrontation.

Itachi’s scent could naturally not be completely masked if the lazy currents of early spring brought his presence forth, but he was certain that the wolves didn’t expect Sirius to attend to this meeting without retrievable backup. The katana was fastened to his hip underneath the blackness of his coat, but it didn’t scream to be used. Itachi didn’t have his mother’s boiling blood, and his patience was endless.
