Pitted against an existence so vile yet veiled behind such a controlled façade, made the she-wolf consider just where her personal alliance stood in a matter such as this. In the face of power was it her instinct to stand as a wall against it and be resilient til the force itself lost its pomp, or was a truly an Ichikan at heart and would allow her own learned softness bend her to the tone of the tyrant bent on conducting this meeting to the beat of his sadistic drum? Drawn into this thought with tightly knit brows she fell into an oddly comfortable silence as she considered the words of the Thistle King.

Yes. He was within his right to deny her an explanation for his aims, yet just the same she was in her own to know what brought about this injustice to such a peaceful pack. An Exultare would be unwise if they did not prepare to abate future disputes and seek to alleviate whatever tension had been brought about in the first place. She would be foolish if she did not try… “My King Sirius…” kindly his name rolled from her tongue, perhaps a feat that had not been accomplished for the sake of so cruel a male. “Please do not look at this as an interrogation,” smoothly she raised a paw from the ground and offered it carefully in a request of understanding. “…but as a means to enlighten a simple individual. While this is not the purpose of our meeting, I would like to consider this an advantageous effort to keep what occurred on our lands from taking place again.”

And still, she was for this chance of understanding even as the King proceeded onward to express what had truly brought these leads together. Lowering her offering she fell silent again with her interest peaked regarding the female in their custody. But this possibility of an exchange… of something that might hold interest for the woman was a notion she had not expected at all. Surely he was not foolish enough to trade back what was stolen for a member of his pack. What would have been the purpose of the assault if there was no gain to show for it? She offered no reply, allowing the King to further express his intentions without her interruption.
