It seemed she was determined to convince him. Tharin watched the female squat down, moving closer to the natural four legged form wolves held. It still wasn't a wolf's body though. The curves, the strange stretched toes, they were all very very unnatural. Her words confused him, ears flattening back. What was she talking about? Tharin backed up from her, watching cautiously for what she would do. His hackles stood up as the painful rendering of flesh and cracking of bones filled the air. Her form moved around, sick and disturbing to watch.

When it was done a normal wolf stood before her. Turning his head Tharin promptly threw up, made nauseous by the sight of her changing around like that. It was so disturbing, watching her move around like that, bones shifting and flesh moving in a way it was never meant to. Glancing back at her Tharin's ears pinned back in shame. He shouldn't have done that. Next time he wouldn't. Tharin's stomach churned at the thought, protesting his idea of trying to grow used to it. All traces of shyness were gone now, just a confidant female left behind.

Her words were insulting. Tharin knew lots about the world. He survived, hunted, knew all about death. The fact that a sickness was the reason for what he had seen didn't surprise him in the least. It made sense that something like that would cause such a horrid looking change. Sickness had taken Akira from him, and now it appeared that it had made these freaky new creatures. Her words about luperci having power, grasping this 'gift', filled him with distaste. There was nothing wrong with what he was! I see. His voice gave off none of the turmoil, though the worry and anger in his eyes did.
