until the night is over

It had crossed his mind once or twice to try and slip away from her, to run off into the darkening night and hide, but the warm grip that she kept on his hand stopped him from doing so. Instead, he returned the firm grip with his own, following her like a lost child might. The lands were unfamiliar to him, a place that he had never really explored despite how close to Twilight Vale it seemed to be. The scents that came with the new area were also foreign to him, scents from people that he had never before met, and left him wondering what exactly they were like. He supposed, since he'd really never heard of the place, that it at least meant they weren't out and after anything. Peaceful, he supposed.

As soon as the entered the tent Conri took a moment to look around, flexing his toes at the feeling of the carpet beneath. He had lived in a house back in Twilight Vale, spacey and comfortable, so the sight of her home was welcoming. It was much more comfortable than sleeping out in the rain, or wandering the night in the rain, which was likely what he may have done had he not stumbled upon her.

"You did this yourself?" He asked quietly, hesitating slightly as he cross the sort distance from the opening of the tent to the mattress. He lingered a moment when he reached it, eying the spaces that she didn't take up, before trying to decide just where to place himself. Finally he seated himself, resting on the very edge of the mattress, a bit of a distance away from her. It was awkward feeling almost, not sure whether he should be close to her or far away, despite knowing that his body longed to feel the warmth from hers.
