Walking with not much in particular on his mind, the grayish man kept his paws in the back pockets of his jeans, his fingers occasionally brushing by the sheath of the knife from a time before. In fact, he had been near this area when he decided to take the blade for himself from the Luperci bandit he killed—not that it was completely intentional, but that guy was asking for it the moment he tried to steal the goods of the silvery girl Rivers saved that day. The male hadn't heard much of Wretch since then, which was expected as she was a loner, a wanderer, but still. It might be good to check up on her in the near future, or help her out again in a tight spot.

Regardless, he kept on with his casual stride, not really caring where he was going. He considered heading over to a stream for a swim, and was about to act on that thought but paused. A scent reached his nostrils, smelling like a strong fragrance, almost, and Rivers looked over his shoulder towards its source. Now who could that belong to, perhaps? It smelled lovely, nonetheless, and it wouldn't hurt to see who—or what—it belonged to...

Quickening his pace as he turned on his heel, Rivers occasionally sniffed the air more intently to stay on the trail of the perfume, and felt his jagged tail start to wag a bit. He was curious as to whom he might meet. A friendly face? Or maybe a hostile brute?

Either way, as he neared the source, it was apparent it was female. And as he started to see her tawny form come into view, he blinked. His fast walk slowed into a gradual step or two as he came closer and closer, and saw the cloak she rested on. The coyote girl was pretty, he concluded as he stopped about two meters away from her, and saw her coat shimmer in the blazing sunlight. She must've taken a swim, given the circumstances, and his two-toned eyes glanced over at the bubbling stream. Oh, how very convenient! Just where he wanted to end up: near the precious water he loved so dear.
"I trust that the water's refreshin'?" Rivers asked the she-yote after clearing his throat loud enough for her to hear. "Was thinkin' of takin' a dip for myself, but if it ain't in the best of conditions, I might have to forget about that."
