Draco heard the boy before the falcon, and his ears perked up instantly. Though he had not yet encountered anything truly dangerous in the area (besides a crumbling cliff) he didn’t want to make this change anytime soon. Still, he continued along his way until the boy’s voice grew louder and eventually gave away his location. The movement in the tall grass helped with that, though. Smiling thinly and eyeing the bird on his shoulder, Draco let out a half-laugh. “Squirk, huh? You eat anything named Squirk lately, George?” The bird puffed up and let out a shrill series of short noises, stating that the very concept offended him.
