A nickname ran through his ears, along with a command. One that he wouldn't mind doing, but he wasn't going to rest. No, he needed to stay awake. He was afraid that if he rested, he wouldn't wake back up. The pain was unbearable, so he needed to be awake to control that pain. If he was asleep, he couldn't do that. He let out a groan as he thought about how stupid he was to go hunting moose alone.
It was getting harder to stay awake, his eyes kept shutting on him. He forced them open constantly, but soon enough, when Adonia's other words reached his ears, they were nothing but a jumble of slurred sounds. His golden eyes rolled back into his head as his eyelids finally shut on themselves. There was no way he would be able to stay awake now. He was too exhausted. Once again, darkness overcame his sight, a ringing noise was constant in his ears and he lost all other senses. The only thing he felt was a slight dull pain throughout his whole body.
He could feel himself be laid down and then he felt an absence. Adonia was gone, he could tell. Then she was back, rubbing something on his body. It stung for a split second, then it was back to a dull feeling. His body involuntarily winced as Adonia ran her fingers over his snapped leg. There was bone sticking out of his leg, on the back, and as her fingers came close to it, he whimpered and whined.
