There was an energy in Trent that Alder felt he had not sensed before. It was a lightheartedness, something that they had not really shared before now. Alder felt a sudden leap in his stomach, a thump of his heart or maybe it was a skip. Jitters, butterflies? He didn't understand and so he tried to ignore it, focusing on the direction they moved in and on Trent's words.

Well, many ride them. Traveling can be easier, quicker. They can carry things, tow wagons and plows. They were used in the building of my cabin. he explained. Alder had not been present at the time of the cabins construction but he knew that Rem had been their helping.

Alder glanced over to the make, his smile only growing. He loved Hawthorn as he did his own brothers, and knew him as even a greater friend. I find them fascinating, since I was a pup I wanted to learn about them. When I was small I wanted to -be- one. He said with a bit of a laugh. I respect them more then anything. They are fascinating creatures.

Looking back at the pony he added, You'll see.
