A howl chased Kiara through the woods and she darted in and out of the bushes at a more frantic pace. Her heart pounded and spread adrenaline through her bloodstream. Her tongue hung loose out of her mouth and bounced as she passed through the trees. Occasionally she would pause, only for a moment, to see where Tharin was. He was always a few steps behind her, a broad smile on both their faces. Slowly they moved towards the boarder, enjoying the short play time.
For a long while, Kiara was able to keep ahead of Tharin. Despite his larger size, Kiara knew the land was able to pass through the forest due to her knowledge and speed. The two wolves broke into a clearing, and Kiara whined with a large smile shone on her face, her previous loneliness completely forgotten. Suddenly, a flash of sliver was beside her, their shoulder's brushed and he was gone. The arctic female surged forward, trying her best to catch up to the larger male. Yet, for every step he took Kiara was forced to take three. The distance between the two wolves grew greater so Kiara ducked her head and flattened her ears to run faster.
The young mother managed to catch up, but in the end it was Tharin who won the race. Kiara sat down defeated at the boarder and panted heavily. The line of flowers were spread out at her feet. It was an odd boarder, but Kiara didn't complain.
