[M] - My Little Friend
#16
She could feel his gaze on her, admiring her form. His palm was cold, sending a small shiver through her before she pushed herself closer to the wolf, borrowing his warmth. The worry he held on his face was an even greater puzzle for the monster than his words. Why would he be so worried about what she had said? It was nothing more than the truth. Kindness was given either because one was a fool, and easy to manipulate, or because it could be used to gain advantage over someone. There was no other choice.

Her gaze was blank, except for the faint flicker in the back that revealed the turmoil he had stirred up. More alcohol was needed for this problem. Picking up the bottle Amy drank more, only to find it emptied this time. Snarling she threw the bottle, letting it smash on the ground. She didn't understand! What kindness? It didn't exist! She didn't need a home, didn't need anyone but herself and the approval of her family. Blood lust. Her words were firm, despite the fact that Amy had found herself staring at the ground, afraid to meet his gaze and be proved wrong.
