The means of celebration was relative, but the subject for its cause was all the same; they were gathered to celebrate their accomplishments as a small, but determined group as well as establish the common expectations they were all meant to enforce. It was a step in the productive direction in the eyes of the female Nomad, whom had made herself quite comfortable atop her hidden crafts. Like Jaden, she had a matter she wished to bring before the group and share among them their thoughts regarding it. She looked to each face fondly, smiling softly as her dear companion addressed what held precedence. She raised her head though when acknowledged by her Issum and wagged her tail excitedly in preparing to speak…

…but then.

He opened his mouth. As if the radiant light had been taken away from her and forced to shine upon him, her moment to speak was abruptly stolen by the incorrigible tongue of her Lambda relation. What words she had conjured were stilled on her tongue as she stared point blank at her grey companion, wearing dread upon her muzzle for whatever atrocity she assumed his tongue would craft. Like anticipating the end of a well lived life, she watched and listened with bated breath. Her eyes darted between her mouthy friend and her beloved partner gauging their reactions to the other’s words. What X’ies mouth did not utter, his eyes could clearly tell. She could have groaned on the spot had it not been for standing on ceremony. Yet quietly, she observed, pinned her ears forward when they begged to lie flat and deafen the inevitable doom.

But surprisingly… none befell the small pack. Only the shared look as her friend finally turned to her, expressing his ‘sincerest’ sorrow for speaking out of turn. The female offered back a weak smile feeling a little less than assured, but trusting of the agreement the two still had in place. In the midst of the debate, X’yrin at last rose from her covered craft and began arranging the tassels by their color. As she inched them gingerly around in some kind of order, she remained attention to the conversation at hand and even appeared interested by the crest of her brows for the reciprocated opinions of their family. This was certainly better than expected, she deduced with renewed hope, but the look upon the Issum’s face did not condone the like expression.

Despite his apology, the Lambda had spoken out of turn… and though it was a minor offence, it was still one that needed to be acknowledged. An example of disciplinary action to mirror the topic discussed. But for the time… she remained on folded haunches and quiet until there was cause to speak.

“All your words are well received,” she announced at the end of X’ies introduction. “But our topic seems to have been steered onto a different path…despite its necessity in discussion.” Calmly, she looked to her friends with the same serene smile upon her lips. “Recruiting and…” her ears lowered for a moment bashfully before she continued. “…reproduction are essential to maintain the number and promote growth on the pack, but surely this cannot be our focus when we have yet to establish our fundamental routines and duties. Alistair, if you wish to take the patrol of our lands and perhaps find another to train to follow your same path, the family would greatly benefit from your dedication. And Pendzez, your thoughts regarding discipline are indeed fair… but if I may add…perhaps an instructor or a guard assigned to the punished? Though a time of solitude may be required depending on the severity of the time… there is no reason the punished should not have a means redeem themselves. A little help might be needed in that regard…”
