yep, good idea -- we can finish this one soon and then have a new one? Smile · table by Alli!

Trent still felt kind of weird having his pony-thing follow him around, as though he was somehow its owner, because he very much felt like he was not. Trent had nothing to offer this thing, but in the least perhaps Alder could take care of it, if Trent decided that he would or could not. But the least he could do, he supposed, was give the animal a chance and do something less selfish for a change by giving the pony a chance to win his heart, or something. Trent didn't like the idea of anything relying on him, because he was highly unreliable and liked his freedom, but it didn't seem he'd have much of a chance, anyway.

Maybe if it could learn how to be ridden or pull things though, it could at least be useful, and Trent hoped that would be the case. Then it would be a little less like carying around dead weight, but more like being the dead weight the pony was carying around. Well, it wasn't much, but better than nothing.

Alder's request that she needed a name popped Trent from his thoughts, and he lifted his gaze from the road ahead of them to look at Alder. "Uh... 'Pony' seems good?" he suggested with a sheepish grin, because Trent was awful at creative things like coming up with names and he couldn't think of anything else.
