Terra's ears lifted, hearing the recognition in Axelle's voice. Her tail wagged slightly, cheered by her friend's boisterous reaction to the situation. Ducking her head Terra shook it, thinking about how many times she'd tried to tell him. I keep chickening out. It just doesn't seem real. Her own pups. She couldn't imagine what they would look like. Would they look more wolf or coyote? Actually thinking about the pups, instead of avoiding the fact, a warm feeling spread through her. She wanted these pups. She loved them, even though they hadn't been there long. She would protect them.
Her tail wagged as Axelle assured her. Becoming mates soon would be nice. He had promised to stay with her. Maybe if she asked him to join her pack he would do so. Laughing Terra moved over to Axelle, rubbing against her with a wide grin on her face. I suppose it is. My mother raised me with just the pack's help, so it really isn't that large a stretch. I could do it! She didn't mention that she'd run wild, causing far more trouble than all the other pack pups put together.
