There are 15 libraries scattered throughout Halifax. Of course the one I pick was not built until 2001, so back to the map. lol. Halifax North Memorial Public Library, opened 1966.
The empty buildings around them with their lack of color raising so high above them blocking out the sky except for what was directly overhead did not sit well with Temo. The lack of any fresh air and cooling breeze, not to mention that the only green was where grass and weeds and an occational bush or tree managed to take root, all depressed him. He worked hard to not let the depression show through and hoped they would find the library soon so he could loose himself in the search through the books.
His eyes kept scanning the building faces as they walked beneath them, the straight lines of the construction and shadows seemed to bother him more here. At least at home the straight was broken up by the randomness and seeming chaos of nature which had not managed to take over here yet. Yes, this place does not feel, right. Temo agreed with his son but a bit quiet as if he did not want to draw the attention of something or someone to them. With the sun low and the sky turning red, Temo spied an older building that looked promising. Shall we try that building? Either way, we need a place to hole up for the night. He did not relish the thought of wandering the city in the dark.
