The climax of the hunt had begun and the elk would soon be theirs. Whines escaped from Tharin and Kiara couldn't help but give a happy wolfish bark as she leapt towards the elk. It bolted out of the water, using what little strength it had left. Kiara stood, enjoying the cool liquid for a moment before she leapt into action. After all, she was a wolf and there was no way she was going to miss the kill.
Tharin struck first, dealing a damaging blow to the elk's shoulder. The elk fought, bucking wilding as it tried with all its might to free itself. Kiara joined in only moments later, grabbing onto her prey's haunch. She pulled at the flesh, trying to topple the elk. Once it was down the game would be over.
Exhausted and bleeding out, the elk gave in. It fell to the ground and Kiara let out a triumphant howl. Excited, she ran over to Tharin and licked his muzzle, whining happily as her tail wagged vehemently behind her. The snow wolf's beautiful coat was stained red, but Kiara cared little for that. She wanted to eat, however it was not her place. Sapphire orbs looked to the silver male, waiting for his signal.
