Jaden was not an artist at heart but a warrior, as far as he knew. Creating wasn’t something he did often and when it did it was a weapon or useful instrument. He had very little experience in crafting things that held no useful purpose but was relatively satisfied with what had become of his twin necklaces.

Nearly all night and some of the morning he had been up working on them as sort of test to his dedication. His new found vigor in life was well placed but still had to fight past all the emotional damage in his black and white form. If he was to truly try to accept the changes in his life, he needed to have his goals set and achieved. Thus far he was successful. The necklaces were nearly identical: Small but pointed teeth held in place by fine pieces of braid hide that took advantage of slots carved into each small bone. These teeth flowed down from both ends of the necklaces spaced about a finger’s length apart from each other until they reached the middle. There two different sixed fangs, one from the top and bottom row of the cougar’s mouth, sat tightly side by side. Both pieces of jewelry looked identical to this point until further analysis revealed small carvings on the fangs. On the one he wished to gift to her there were a few tiny spirals carved ever so carefully by the tip of his small crafting knife. The teeth on his had simple engraving that resembled the serrated marks of a blade. These small details had taken him a majority of the night to complete they were a nice finishing touch.

He held the light-tan cords (which would eventually darken once they completely dried and aged) in his fist and set out to find his Issor. There was no room for hesitation in his steps for if he found any he might not be able to face her. So he tracked her with purpose and eventually came across a scent trail that led him to the Rock garden.

He emerged silently and almost instantly found her golden fur where she stood inverted upon a stone. It didn’t cause him pause to see her but a bit of movement not far off did. Deep blue eyes were dragged to a pup. A pup! One the likes of which he’d never seen in Sangi’lak before. He was suddenly filled with questions. Where had he come from? Why did X’yrin seem to be ignoring him? If she had just found him, why did she seem to be ignoring him inverted as she was? It made no sense. He approached with cautious steps, cautious and silent as was his habit. But as he grew closer, the pup seemed to take notice of him even though he was not in the young one’s direct line of sight. It was very odd because most grown adults couldn’t hear his muffled approach. The little mass of fur whined a little and ran for X’yrin, tripping once or twice over the many stones in his panic at noticing a tall dark stranger. X’yrin, Jaden called to her with his intentions momentarily set aside, Whose pup is that?
