Keldava's head turned, looking towards the source of the noise. Seeing her arrow fly wide Dalgina felt guilty for interrupting. Perhaps it was nothing, and she really should have just ignored it. The noise wasn't going away though, her frame tense with worry. Dalgina remained close to Keldava, wondering what to do. She didn't know? The brief lick on her ear was reassuring, but it only lasted a moment before the words she'd spoken sunk in. Stay behind? Let Keldava investigate whatever it was alone? Keldava was already injured, and could hardly fight against anything dangerous. At least together they stood a better chance. She broke into a run, following after her with determination. She wouldn't let her sister get more hurt.
What they came across was worse than she had imagined. The scent of feline blood was in the air, a giant black panther standing straight. Dalgina's eyes shot down, seeing a dead cat and kittens. Her mind went to Wilson, and how much Levent would be upset if he was hurt. They were both in giant trouble, the giant cat's mind turning to the two young luperci. Uh oh. What were they to do? She couldn't fight that! Keldava couldn't fight that! She barely had time for those words, and Keldava was shooting an arrow through the air. Everything froze, Dalgina waiting for death to strike her. It didn't come though, the panther crumbling to the ground.
Relief flooded through Dalgina, quickly turning to worry as Keldava sank to the ground. Keldava! Toi d'aske? She knelt down, the plaintive cries from the heap of bodies ignored in favor of her sister. Had the wound cracked open? She didn't have anything to fix it, not even ribbons in her hair.
