The pain in her hand was almost blinding but Keldava still managed to turn her attention to Gina when her sister began fussing over her. ”Jekt, Gina, ya d’mur, my hand just seized up.” Keldava ground out, her teeth clamped solid together from the pain. Keldava reached upwards, groping for Gina’s shoulder to pull herself upright. She winced when she felt claws she hadn’t realised were still outstretched prick her sister and she sheathed them apologetically, resting her head against Gina’s arm.
”Turak that hurts.” she swore, pain still coursing through her hand until she finally managed to loosen the muscles from the fist they had formed. A sigh of relief escaped her when her hand finally went limp, the pain dispersing somewhat. Able to actually function now Keldava let go of Gina, staggered forwards and immediately wished she hadn’t as her lunch threatened to make a second appearance.
Keldava was a wolf and like any wolf she hunted for the majority of her food but where possible, she had sure that her kills were clean. She used arrows where she could, aiming for lethal shots and when she was forced to chase prey down and savage it’s legs in Lupus form, she made sure a quick knife to the neck followed to put it out of it’s pain. The cat the her two kittens had not been killed quickly nor cleanly and Keldava looked away, unwilling to look at the scene below her when she heard a squeak.
Keldava forced herself to look and saw that there weren’t two kittens in the hole that had once served as a nest but three and one was still alive, hiding beneath it’s siblings. Slowly and carefully Keldava reached down and into the pile of bodies, extracting the survivor; a small kit with a colourful pelt of orange, black and white. The kitten mewled pathetically and squirmed in her grip. ”Poor thing.” Keldava whined, staring at the furry bundle in her hand.
