He wondered what she had meant by not having to go to the creek as he let her lead him to the makeshift bathtub. His feet slid across the floor with each slow and careful step as he made the short trip to the tub. He sat down on the rim and rested for a couple of minutes as his eyes wandered over the tub and water. Ingenious he murmured marveling over the contraption. He always knew his children were smart and for the moment felt proud that Dalgina had come up with a solution.
Temo could not disappoint his daughter and all of her hard work that she had put into his bath so he carefully swung his feet over the rim and carefully lowered himself into the water. It took a few moments for the water to seep through his fur and he sucked in his breath as the coldness hit his skin. It was a minute before he got used to the cold enough to start scrubbing at his fur.
It was not long before the water had turned near black and one could not see the bottom. He slowly extracted himself from the water and sat on the rim letting the water drip from his fur. A slow glance around showed Dalgina had been busy and the room had been tidied up. Furs had replaced the rags that had been his bed and the dust was gone. A spark of guilt flashed though him for getting a puddle of dirty water on the floor after his daughter had worked so hard at getting the room cleaned up.
