Oh, it's no problem. I should be a faster replier!

In Character

Helios had begun to relax once again. The familiar act of carving had softened the embarrassment of his childish writing. He reminded himself to round out his education when he joined a back, which he was sure to do, living a primarily solitary life was hard. Humming a quiet tune, he found that his carving was coming out better than he had anticipated. The brittany's distinctive head shape was more difficult to capture than other animals he'd carved. Despite himself and his sister having folded ears, he still found them to be one of the most difficult traits to capture in wood.

As the evening progressed, he lifted his odd eyes from his work and peered over at the dog. To smell of food emanating from the air was tantalizing. Setting aside the carving and brought himself to crouch. Allowing his nubby tail to give a few wiggles, quickly, he snatched up the writing pad, forgetting his previous uncertainty. "What is that? It smells great!" he scribbled hastily. Peering into the pan, he had never seen anything like that before, nor had he ever had the chocolately drink.

This dog seemed to have more things up his sleeve than he had perceived at first. Ever since he left home, he had considered any time of food to be a blessing and this was a dog that was excellent at making it. Sniffing the air again, he was even more excited. Helios hadn't had any actual cooking since he was at home with his mother and even that was just meat. This seemed much sweeter and pleasant to his very eager pallet.
