Forever could just mean tomorrow

Oh hai, I am impulsive. Have a Pilot. -shove-[html]

He moved against the snow dotted ground, losing his balance and stumbling every few hundred meters. He wasn’t sure where he was going to go, but he knew he needed to be as far away from Crimson Dreams as he could possibly bring himself. After speaking to Savina, he knew that he couldn’t have a life there anymore. No longer was he the naïve squirrel raised boy whom was personable with almost anyone. Pilot had been broken beyond repair, it seemed. And now he wanted nothing but to be as far away as his body could possibly bring him.

As he stumbled to the earth, Pilot hesitated for a moment, face hovering just inches from the snow. He caught a familiar scent, but couldn’t be sure. Things just seemed to be so jumbled lately. He was having trouble getting his mind to work the way it once had. Apparently Hybrid had broken that too. But no, this smell wasn’t some hallucination. It was real. He knew it. Rising to his feet, Pilot headed in the direction of his former co-leader. Tayui was somewhere around here. Maybe he could face her. She wasn’t connected to Crimson Dreams in anyway. Maybe he could find some refuge with her guidance.

Traveling with his pack slung over one shoulder and a skin slung over the other, Pilot came upon a small hill. At the crest, a gathering seemed to be taking place. He would have averted his path except for one small detail. Tayui was part of that group and so was one of Phoenix’s children. Hiking his belongings higher onto his shoulders, he made his way up to hill to see what was going on.
