hi

Wonderstruck. Lost. Numb. They were all things Anu felt, but then didn’t. She was amazed, but then didn’t believe that what was reality was truth. She couldn’t find where she was headed, but the path was so clear that it was almost transparent. And she had no feeling, but there was pain, joy and confusion sewn so tightly together she found it so hard to distinguish one feeling from the other that what she was left with was nothing at all.

Running was all she had come to truly know. Her paws knew the road, letting her mind drift off into a darkness that was so familiar it was starting to feel like home. The small room that she had claimed as her own was becoming confining, and even the feather soft bed felt like steel bars. A prisoner of her emotions Anu drew the cool wind inward, letting the air hit her lungs and free her from a lingering stifled feeling.

Ocean waters crashed and soft sand filled the small space between her toes. A figure drew her across the beach, not caring whom it was and if they were friend or foe. Blue clouded eyes watched the familiar motion of self medication, and a smile teased her lips. With a steady pace she approached him, bluntly sitting beside him to share the stormy view across the sea.

Room for one more? Maybe he wouldn’t mind sharing a seat at the bar with a blue eye girl.
