She was beginning to calm down again. She wouldn't die, she wouldn't, she had a plan and thankfully Firefly hadn't seen through it. The fire was unexpected- a twist- but it all amounted to the same, and it lended her the cover she needed. Sabeen pressed her back into the wall, watching at the curtains grew aflame, the fire spreading quickly onto her ceiling and floorboards. She looked side to side, her breath coming in short bursts. Was anything of value in this house? Her fingers unclutched from the dirty spoon and let it fall. She had no stash hidden nearby. That was fine. Anything she lost she could replace-- but as she darted from her position she was drawn to a corner-wall, where an actual rosary hung. It shone in the engulfing fire. The lady snatched it without thinking, not even paying attention to what it was except to note it was a beaded string, and made her way as quickly and quietly as she could. The beams in the ceiling cracked, a flame exploded in the corner. Her home was eaten away at the corners and began to shatter as she climbed through the opened window, the blessedly opened window, and hit the ground hard. Wheezing slightly she looked back once, to see if Firefly was coming after her, and ran, ran as fast as she could until she was out of Dahlia territory, forever.
