For a moment longer, the warrior was still, her posture alerted but her mood quite calm. A paw lifted as she listened, that soft sound that she had heard almost lost in the whisper of the forest. But those trained ears, though they could not recognize it, retained that sound. And after a while, the woad marked she wolf decided that that soft sound came from a small creature. Perhaps that creature were some sort of prey animal. She would not have known the sound of the small feet of a pup for she had never heard it, and so she had decided to dismiss it as such. And the Adonis considered catching it, but then thought against it, believing that she did not have the speed to do so because of the wounds on her flank. But it would not be a great loss, for she was still filled with the meals of before. Content with the answer, the woman was about to turn away when she heard the feet stop behind her.

The warrior turned her head back to see what it was, for there was a strange but soft sound that resembled speech. She was surprised to find that the sound had been a pup, and she silently tucked those patterns of footfall into her mind for later use. A soft smile touched her maw as she turned herself about, but she was not sure what to do with the small thing. Her maw took quiet sniffs of the little girl, concluding that this must be one of the pups under Cer and Slay’s care. All of the pups must not speak this language well, for she found that the other had also spoken a similar language. With a soft wag of her tail, the Dahlian Adonis simply offered a soft, "Hello," in greeting to the small thing. And the woman was unsure of what to do next; she had never been socialized to deal with pups.

Because the girl seemed to approach her in a friendly mood, the warrior lowered herself to the ground, laying upon her belly so as to become level with the small creature—and she was very small. And she introduced herself to be called Catharsis de Sadira, confirming that it was Cercelee with whom she resided. The warrior, who was always quite formal, was about to introduce herself, but the little creature continued to speak. The woad bound ears pricked forward at those sounds, but she could not understand the broken speech of the pup. The woman’s head tilted slightly: Give what? For a moment she struggled with those words but to no avail; when Catharsis gave her an out by asking a simpler question, the woman replied with that soft, alto melody. "I am Cwmfen nic Graine; it’s a pleasure to meet you." The soft smile danced upon her lips as she paused. "I’m sorry, but I don’t quite understand...." To emphasize that she was not trying to offend the young girl, the woad bound ears swiveled back apologetically.
