Endymion couldn't remember what he was doing before he heard his mother's anguished cry. It didn't matter either. All he knew, all that mattered at that moment was that he had to get to Fatin. The two-year-old had not heard his mother in that much pain since... he didn't want to remember. The Jager's heart was in his throat as he bounded from his den and into the dark corridor.
What had happened? Had one of his sisters or brothers gotten hurt? Was Fatin hurt? Or was it another pack member? Running as fast as his bipedal legs could carry him, he rounded the corner into the community den and stopped abruptly. His heart became the floor as his eyes fell upon their Beta, and his mother's form cradling her. Questions of 'how' and 'why' would come to him later. All that was present was pain and the need to comfort his mother.
Walking past the other members, he kneeled beside Legacy, stroking her head briefly before wrapping an arm around their Queen Mother. "I'm here," he murmured softly.
Here for you, here for Phasma, here for Jaded Shadows.
