Hope this makes sense. Hybrid tried to jump over Heath as Heath jumped at him (since he is slightly higher up).

Hybrid saw the disgust. It lasted for a few seconds before it was replaced with pure, raw movement. The boy's expression hardened as he leapt at Hybrid, fangs bared and claws outstretched. Hybrid saw the flash of a decision in the boys eyes and a the flicker of movement moments before, but he was too slow. Hybrid barely managed to avoid the boy's jaws. Hybrid jumped over -- no, on to the boy -- using his elevation to his advantage, but the child's teeth caught his forelegs, drawing blood and piercing him deeply. Hybrid tried not to howl as the child's teeth tore through his flesh and as pain washed over him, tried to move, tried to breath.



He inhaled. He scrambled as he moved, trying to grab something, anything -- but most preferably, the child who was attacking him. He opened his jaws, moving to grasp the boy's neck between his teeth and snap him in two. In his Secui form, he was afforded the luxury of long, tough claws; with these, he moved to sink them into the boy's flesh. He tried to keep his movements small and concise, rather than flailing about, as what normally happened. He would have to work on that. He snarled, trying to reach for the boy's eyes and his shoulders with his claws, then pull back and release. He would release the boy. He would release him from all his silly insecurities and the silliest thing of all: his life.
