The sky is full of holes today

(anddd.. Miriette runs away because Jefferson is a horrible dad. Big Grin )

She couldn't stand it as Jefferson just let the words cut in even more, cruelly pointing out that they couldn't help the little girl because it was something only a parent could do. The tears bit at her eyes as she bitterly spoke. "I wouldn't know, what a father's job is.." Her silvery orbs never leaving Jefferson's face as the verbal slap took it's toll on her. She didn't care anymore about helping the child or the foul mouthed woman who'd thrust her aside. Jefferson had once again pushed her far away when she'd only wanted to try and know the man they'd never had the chance to.

She dashed the tears away with her arm as she whipped around, preparing to leave the bunch behind. If he didn't want her in his life then she'd stay as far away as she could. She wasn't going to leave the pack but it was more than clear to the young lady with the midnight pelt that she was little more than worthless in her father's eyes. She didn't know what she'd have to do to get him to let her in but instead she just felt farther and farther away. The tears had already started and she knew that she couldn't stop them, instead of trying she just took off, leaving the mess behind her, knowing that they wouldn't care one way or another if she stayed or was never there.
