OOC. >_< I'm so sorry! 400+

He stood there unmoving and unblinking, thinking of the way things were going. A brief movement at the edge of his vision caught his attention and the grey male turned curiously. He doubted that an intruder would have made it this far into the packlands. Why and how should they? He doubted Cwmfen would sit idly by and then there were others to think of, as well. He would die fighting to protect his home. However, this did not seem the case, as the intruder was too small to pose real threat: it was a puppy. His immediate reaction was to bolt and make sure the poor thing was okay, but he then recalled Haku and Firefly's puppies, missing and now found and safe again. If Haku was around, trying to teach his son a lesson or something, he could get into trouble.

Lubomir hovered uncertainly for a while, his tail half-way tucked between his legs, waiting. No help seemed to come and the pup was in pain. That much he could see from here and the longer he lingered the more he could get into trouble lately. Ever since Simon, Lubomir had found that the years away from puppies had not hardened his heart. He could still easily look at a pup and decide he liked it, or not, depending on the case. He loved seeing their little faces light up when they saw him, loved having them chase him around over and over again. He loved ever single moment of it, every little whim and joke. But to see them frightened or in pain, hiding away, oh how it tore at his heart. He'd promised himself never to let himself fall and waver. Yet here he was, wavering. The grey wolf felt himself grow strong with determination. He would not fail.

"Child, are you okay? Little one, answer!" His voice rang clear in the night, startling a few crabs by the shore. He kept on running, kept on trying, his body responding to the charge until he was by the pup's side. He skidded to a halt and gently nudged the body, noticing the vomit lying around it. Oh no. He'd done this before with his nieces and nephews. His jaws gently picked the pup up and he moved some way from the mess before gently laying the pup down. "You're safe here, little one. I'm Lubomir, what's your name?" The male kept hovering uncertainly, knowing that he would call for someone if things got worse.
