hover through the fog and filthy air

His face was carved in stone, but the intense blue in his eyes seemingly glowed in the darkness as the Dahlian male made his way through the light vegetation. There was barely any sound in the quiet night air. His own, oversized paws made no sound. He had learned how to move like a ghost long time ago. An owl hooted quietly from above, but there was little else that distracted his sensitive ears. There were only the lightest breaths through the forest, an almost nonexistent breeze. The circumstances would be perfect for hunting more intelligent creatures. The secui made sure to stay focused, leaving that unpleasant yet desirable thought behind. The cocoa man knew little of what was awaiting him in the pitch black, but he knew it would be worth it. He had not seen her since the day she had drained him for blood, and he had been reborn to stand by her side, seeking the same pleasures as her.

His pace brought him further south, and Dahlia de Mai was temporarily left behind and forgotten. A deep inhale brought a weak hint of an intoxicating perfume, revealing her presence. The beast’s eyes glinted excitedly as he slowed his pace ever so slightly, hoping to find her before she found him. He had an excellent night vision, but she had the coat of the night and wore the colour well. No doubt she could sense his presence too by now. He found the shadow by the tree, but the shadow could also see him. The large secui did not change his pace, and executed the short distance quickly, stopping up in front of her in a similar manner of an obedient guard dog. She should do well to not treat him as such though, because there was a wilder beast locked up inside.
