500 Sorry for the wait.

There were large amounts of times where the chocolate secui did not bother to put on that mask unless it was necessary and this was such a moment. The youth did right in judging Haku, despite the amount of evidence needed to do so. Although it could easily have been different, that Haku had been somewhat alright despite his hatred for the woman that had given birth to him, it was not. The taint and rot went right through him. Family meant nothing. Inferni members meant nothing. Perhaps it also was true that Haku had decided to make himself a new acquaintance and get on bad terms with it just because that canine had her as his dame. Was it that everything he properly and concretely despised had a touch, marks or connections to Colibri Soul? The unhidden distaste from the other served as entertainment and amusement for the older male. Jael was another part of a failed project. Colibri Soul seemed to try again and again to create a family and love her children, but she never seemed to be able to accomplish just that. Neither did Haku for that sake, but that was far from a passion of his. Besides the fact that his two sons strengthened the numbers, and soon enough: strength of Dahlia de Mai, the secui did not wish to have anything to do with them. It was a harsh view, but Haku was not your ordinary family guy.

As if the irritation and sarcasm did not exist in the young hybrid’s voice, Haku nodded in a seemingly serious manner. This bastard kid could drag his unwanted ass back to the clan and keep it there for all that Haku cared. A flicker of flame from within suggested that a new Inferni and Dahlia conflict could have been ideal for extermination of Colibri’s new litter, whether it was only this boy or perhaps more. This slightly surprised Haku. This was something else than indifference. Perhaps, under all the thick and poisonous layers of hate and resentment, there was jealousy? That it now was a fact that his mother had made new children to love. The man himself was not able to distinguish such a feeling, but he wondered exactly why he felt as he did. Jael’s feelings could be understood because Haku was so to speak trash talking their mother, but he had expected a more neutral mind from himself. Now when it had been discovered, however, that was fine and accepted. Haku knew his damaged vessel well. ’Why should you care what breaks her heart anyway? I thought you didn’t like her’ The wolf’s lips twitched slightly, finding the challenge a bit off because the answer was right there in that question. The opposite of love was indifference. Love and hate, however, were much closer connected. Haku could easily care because he wanted to see her in pain, both mentally and physically.

That, is exactly the reason why I would care. I’d love to watch her whole world fall into ruins a third time.” That was a disgusting thing to wish for, but then again this was Haku, and his words could not be truer. He refrained from returning the gesture of bared fangs. Although Jael was larger than the average coyote, Haku had more experience and the advantage of the secui form well ready for use. He doubted it would come to that: doubted the boy would be so foolish. This conversation had given birth to dislike between the two half-brothers, but probably not enough to introduce blood. The chocolate male lowered his neck slightly as he kept that blue gaze steady against the fiery red. ”Off you go, baby brother.”
