It was true that Jefferson was not only impossible to understand, but also a strange creature. He looks like he has an interesting story about his past, but he remains silent. Not to mention he's over protective when you ask about it. When Pendzez first met him, Jeffers was just sitting near a tree while the white male was passing by. At first, he seemed ok, but started to get complex. Pendzez was having a difficult time.
