looking for a chance to stray

OOC: ::Word Count:: 400+

She watched the pup with enthusiasm, glad he was keen to do something alongside her, instead of viewing her as a potentially threatening stranger. She had never had the occasion to spend time with any of the other litters, in any pack she had been in, and the novelty of this experience filled her with a sense of anticipation. Maybe there were things she could still do without constantly reminding herself of Pilot's absence. Of course, back in her den, curled up on her own, Pilot's absence would seem more real than ever. The least she could do though, was teach herself to push it back. If she could make this pup's time more interesting, it would be selfish not to try.

"Well then, Gotham, if you're so eager to find the other dragonflies, let's not make them wait!" She stood up on all fours, then focused on the dragonfly they had been observing and which she had only now realized still captivated Gotham. It looked very peaceful and lazy as it stood there, perched on the blade of grass as if to it, grass were as solid as concrete, offering enough stability that it wouldn't have to struggle to maintain its balance. It was wonderful to notice the way some insects had the power to make you question the way you viewed a certain thing. To Urma, grass had always been something weak, that would bend at the slightest touch, always leaning in the direction the wind would push it, never having the energy or strength to keep straight. But to the dragonfly, it seemed grass was as solid as stone, and perhaps its enhanced perceptions of the grass's movements kept it as still as it was on the blade. Of course, there was no way they were ever going to get anywhere unless the dragonfly flew with them.

"I have an idea you might like... I know where dragonflies like to stay, but our little friend here also knows that. It's where he comes from. With a bit of luck, he might show us the way." Having said that, she padded the ground with her paw close enough to startle the dragonfly, which immediately took to the air. Smiling, Urma looked at Gotham and exclaimed, "Quick! Let's not lose it, okay?" She took a few steps in its direction, trying to convince Gotham to take the lead and pursue the dragonfly.
