Geneva had been conscious of DaVinci's absence for the last few days. She hadn't seen him in the distance, around his cabin or tending to the livestock. She had begun to worry, but had not thought that he had left for good. The one-eyed Patriarch's words confirmed her once-distant fears, and she bowed her head for a moment. Jefferson hadn't offered a reason for way the subleader had suddenly vanished, but she did not raise her voice to ask.

Geneva and DaVinci hadn't been terribly close, or close at all. But the silvery hybrid had saved her from what she thought was certain death. The silvery hybrid had been fearless, kind, and understanding. She shifted to glance at Ty Nasphrite. The young warrior still had a lot of growing to do, but he had a great start. She could see many qualities she associated with DaVinci in the young lad. He was light-hearted and easy going, but she could sense of a core of steel below his sunny exterior.

The gray wolfess looked back at Jefferson, and she worried, as she always did about him. She knew that the two had been close - an odd couple of sorts. In a different situation, the two males might not have even thought twice about each other, but they had bonded over pack life and shared responsibility. Jefferson didn't let others get too close to him, and she did not want him to close up tightly with the loss of DaVinci.

Geneva was relieved to see the natural smile on his face, a rarity to be sure. He seemed light hearted, and perhaps resigned. But she did not see distress or mistrust on his features. In fact, he might be a little happy. She smiled lightly back at the man, crossing her arms over her chest as he continued to address his pack. Her eyes widened marginally as he spoke his last words, but she quirked an eyebrow before she quipped, "I'll try to work on that, Jefferson."
