Conri wasn't delusional enough to actually think he could keep the fact that he was missing a leg hidden away from everyone, just like he wasn't delusional enough to think that Naniko wouldn't ever know that he'd been back unless he wanted her to know. He wasn't hiding himself and his wound for the sake of shame or anything of that sort, but because he didn't want to make his sudden arrival all about himself. Right now he didn't matter, everyone else that he missed mattered. The younger male shifted uncomfortably when Laruku first spoke, frowning at the words. He didn't like change unless it was for the better and Conri knew that not everything could have been merry and happy while he was gone.

"Yeah. About a few months ago?" It was an unsure statement but the best that he could do at the time. Even so, he didn't suspect that he half awake Alpha would question him further about it. Perhaps at another time. "She's still here." Another statement, repeating it so that maybe he'd believe it. She was always dedicated though, there was no reason to be so surprised. There was a twinge of hope with the rest of it, followed by a sudden rush of pain. She was lonely, it meant she hadn't found anyone else, but she was also lonely because of him. "Should I go to her?" He asked finally, quietly. Was it right for him to just show up on her doorstep? Would it be wrong for him to stay away and leave her wondering what happened to him?
