Calling on Blue Skies

she is dull... xD

For some reason the woman could not retrieve the calm that was so natural for her. It was lost in thoughts of catching fish and the fear of loosing this one that was so close. She handed him the net, her tail moving with excitement and interest. Eyes like water looked through their mirror and at the line that disappeared beyond the surface of the lake. She waited, and paid more mind to the fish then the way Jaz so expertly reeled it in. It felt like in an instant the fish was aboard the ship, and then tucked away in the holding bin. Anu leaned back into her seat, still holding the fishing rod who’s line swayed in the lakes calm waters. She wasn’t sure what to think about the capture of the fish. It wasn’t the death of the fish that kept her voice behind her teeth, it was the way Jaz did it so smoothly and with such professionalism that caught her tongue.

The male smiled at her, calm as ever and gave a casual question. Anu had not recovered as quickly as he seemed to. Her line was loose and did not promise a fish any time soon, and Anu forgot about it. Silence came over her and she gathered the mind that was lost in the excitement. It seemed that they always found themselves giving like updates when ever they met. The last time hadn’t been a light hearted one. Both were heart broken and in pain, and now Anu was not sure how to express the new relationship that was blooming between she and the young Dahlian. It was what was new for her. The loss of Naniko was not new to either of them, and would drag their conversation below the bottom on the small boat. So instead Anu spoke unknowingly, “Nothing much, I guess.” Her smile was back and she fought to find something to say, but Colibri was so fresh in her mind and she wasn’t sure if she was ready to share something so fragile.

“You?”
