So why don't you sing to me

ooc: I agree ^_^

Ruri smiled as Heath translated the name of his horse for her. Lumiere was such a pretty name and it meant something just as pretty. When he commented that perhaps he should have rescued her from the crowd, she only smiled in response. That would have been nice, but it had been her duty to stay and mingle with the group of luperci. She was part of the royal court and had a duty to attend her king, and best friend, who of course loved all the attention such a large group gave him.

The slender optime felt the gentle tug from Heath's hand as he led her towards the mare. When she was close to Lumiere, Ruri could sense the large mare's movements as she turned to investigate the petite border collie. Gently extending her free hand forward, Ruri hoped to touch the horse. That was alright wasn't it? Hopefully neither Heath nor the mare would mind. Her ears perked when Heath mentioned that Lumiere was a blue merle, or roan, like she was. She didn't know what those terms meant, but she quickly guessed it had to do with the way both she and the horse looked. "Really? That's fascinating. I had no idea that horses and luperci's could look at all similar. They feel so different..." she trailed off as she felt the blue roan mare's nose touch her hand. It felt so different compared to the nose of a canine. Instead of being cold and wet, it was soft and almost velvety. She immediately memorized how Lumiere's snout felt, assuming that most horses would feel the same way.

She jumped slightly as she felt the air move beside her ear and she quickly noticed that the other horse was investigating her as well. Heath introduced that one as Stark. She knew what that term meant. What an interesting name to give to a horse. Heath must have chosen it for how the stallion looked, for she could see no other reason to give a horse such a name. It was a good name though. She liked it. "It's nice to meet you, Lumiere...and you too Stark," she giggled pleasantly as she retracted her hand from Lumiere's snout to reach behind her and touch Stark on the nose. She doubted that the horses could understand her, but she felt like it was simply polite to express her pleasure at being able to meet them. These horses were much calmer than young Rue. Neither of them had made any sudden movements, or tried to nibble on her hair which immediately earned them high marks in her book. The ivory and slate hued female was quickly beginning to understand why Heath liked these creatures so much. They were wonderful!

"Do you just ride Lumiere, or does Stark get a turn every now and then?" she asked out of curiosity. She knew close to nothing about the care and riding of horses, only that they could be ridden. Her pale blue, blind eyes turned to face Heath after she asked her question, signifying that she was giving him her full attention. She would listen to anything and everything he had to tell her about his horses, and she would love every moment of it.
