300+ Would it be okay if we kind of forward dated this until merely a day or so before Mew's birth?

His reading speed was still kind of pathetic, but the boy was quickly increasing multiple skills thanks to the literature that the humans had left behind. What a wonderful species they had been. A few weeks ago he had found an office in the old hospital with lots of interesting topics in the bookshelves. Conor suspected that he only understood half of what was written down in those books, but what he did understand was very interesting. It was about brain and behaviour and all sorts of cool things that truly made the boy sit down and wonder about things. Today he wanted to get another one of those books. Some of them were huge, and he wanted one of those, one with a title that he had noticed already back then. The topic was general psychology, and the boy believed that he would get more out of reading that piece of work first to get a basic understanding.

When he was halfway through the building on his way to that particular office, he realized that there was another individual’s scent lingering inside. Ears turned backwards against his skull as the boy thought about this. He did not recognize the scent. He did not like that. He knew that this fact would make seeking the other canine out mandatory. They could not have unknown people wandering around inside Dahlia de Mai territory. Conor knew that a place like this was rich of treasures if one knew what one was looking for, and he did not like the thought of that. Unlike his father the boy was not very violent despite his violent childhood. He was more curious than angered and easily followed the trail of the wolf. In a room he caught the scene of a black female doing something quite odd. She was shaving her fur off. Conor hesitated and could only stare for a moment with round, violet eyes.

”Who are you and what are you doing here?” the boy finally asked with a firm voice, knowing for certain now that this was not a wolf of these lands.
