Jac didn't listen. He only got madder, causing Ruri to cower even more, not afraid of Jac but of the power of his voice. Each snarl hurt her sensitive ears. It was more than the violence of fighting that she hated. The loud sounds and scents exuded by angered individuals made her sick to her stomach. She hated that feeling and avoided it at all costs. Jac knew that and yet here he was continuing to fight when both she and Heath were trying to calmly talk about what he thought was wrong with what Heath was doing. Jac snarled at Heath, at first in French but then in English. He thought Heath had seduced her? Didn't Jac know how nice Heath was? He'd met him before hadn't he? "Y-you're wrong Jac," she stuttered timidly, shaking her head emphatically as she crouched down, as if hoping to hide from the flurry of angered sounds that might follow.

Heath rebutted Jac's accusations and it was evident that even he was growing more and more agitated. Ruri was impressed by how he had kept his cool when Jac had already attacked his character several times. Then Jac directed his anger in a scolding tone towards her. He never snapped at her and yet...now he was. Hearing him sounding so upset, telling her that she didn't understand and that it would have been better if he hadn't brought her here made Ruri shake her head, her ears flattened against her head. It took everything she had to hold back the pained tears that were brimming in her blind blue eyes. Heath then responded to Jac's statement that he had sheltered her from the ways of men by saying that he was the worst example. Now Ruri couldn't hold back the tears anymore and she found herself sinking to her knees on the porch, her hands cupped to her face as she started to cry. Even Heath was being swept up in the hostility now. Ruri didn't even want to think where the fight was going to go now, but she could only guess that it was going to get worse. Her crying probably wouldn't help either as it would likely only demonize the men against each other even more. The sensitive border collie couldn't help it though. Her entire plan had backfired. The two people closest to her were fighting over her. She didn't know what to do!
