Ruri's light and musical voice drifted through the closed door and beckoned him in. A small smile took its place on his face as he opened the door and stepped inside. He hadn't been looking, but he noticed the sounds of movement in the house seemed odd and irregular. His gaze rose to find Ruri limping into the the room and finally plopping herself down on the couch. Immediately his expression turned to one of worry and concern. "Ruri, what happened?" He couldn't believe that she was hurt! What had caused it? A million different possibilities, each one more unsettling than the last, whizzed through his mind. "Nobody did this to you, did they?" That would be the worst of all. Haven hadn't caught any suspicious characters around their borders but he couldn't be everywhere all the time. If someone had done this to her he would feel so awful.
Haven looked about the room quickly and noticed that there was no fire burning in the fireplace. He looked back to Ruri and noticed her blanket and assumed that she must be cold. "Hey, do you want a fire? I could make you one, help warm you up." The poor girl was already in pain, she didn't need that discomfort multiplied by being cold as well. The collie had done so much to help him in the past and now it was his turn to do anything and everything he could do for her. Whenever they were done talking he would even carry her back to her room if she wanted him to.
