Yep, you've got it right! 
You post your joining thread in the pack you wish to join.
You have the option of joining by roleplaying out a thread where your character is greeted and potentially accepted (so, an In Character joining thread), or you have the option of joining with an Out of Character thread. Joining OOC'ly can either be you providing us with three previous roleplaying examples (you can link to three threads or copy and paste three of your posts to show us) OR you can fill out your character's profile.
No matter which way you prefer, we do require you fill out the following information so we can add you to the game statistics:
