She, the one who had returned after leaving Inferni for her whore of a daughter, had returned with nothing. Kaena had nothing to show for her time away, and she was only getting older. He sneered at her reply, wondering if he was oscillating between two extremes too much. One minute he had been submitting, the next, not caring what the fuck she did. On one hand, she was Gabriel's mother; on the other, she was an abandoner and a fake. He didn't know.
"No, " he replied harshly. "Our wars with the other packs are over. We will find an insignificant wolf -- though most are -- and they shall be are prey." He regarded the Centurion with a frown and a sneer, moving past her. "Let's go."
